Hot Wedding Dress Styles for Autumn Winter 2010-11
Back to Back
If you are lucky enough to have a very slim figure or you just have great control underwear, now is the time to buy that figure-hugging wedding dress. The Sheath Gown and Slim Column Gown are right on trend for Autumn Winter 2010-11 and especially when combined with a backless design. Backless dresses are particularly gorgeous as it is the view your guests have during the service. Why not treat yourself to an all over body scrub and massage before your big day, asking your therapist to concentrate on your back! Many dresses have wonderful, subtle detailing on the back. Look at gowns by designers such as Christian Lacroix and Jenny Packham.
Mermaid Bride
The fishtail or mermaid style dress is all the rage for modern brides who still want their fairytale Cinderella dress, but with a sleek look. This type of dress is very tight fitting and then flares out at the bottom to give you that full-skirted look. This beautiful dress is absolutely perfect for lucky brides with hour-glass shape figures as it is from the 50’s era where this figure was celebrated and adored. If you have a fuller figure, heavier on top or broad shouldered make sure you try on this type of dress as you will be pleasantly surprised by the look it gives you. The way the skirt billows out at the bottom really balances out your silhouette by bringing your eye “down” to the skirt.
Cinderella
The traditional Ballerina skirted dress will always be “in”. Normally this full length, frothy skirted dress has reams of tulle and can be as big as you want. If you are petite be careful though as it could make you look very flat chested and lost in the dress as there is not a lot of distance between your waist and where the skirt starts to billow out to the ground. If you have slim hips and a full bust the shape of the full skirted dress will balance you out and put you in perfect proportion.
