The King of Bhutan, a remote Himalayan country between India and China, attracted much media attention as he married a commoner, Jetsun Pema on October 13, 2011. The Dragon King, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, at age 30, married Jetsun Pema, the daughter of an airline pilot, who at 21 is now the Queen of Bhutan. The King announced his engagement in a parliament session on May 20, 2011.

The most famous woman in Spain, the 85-year-old Duchess of Alba, Cayetana Fitz-James once again had the attention of the entire country as she married a civil servant, Alfonso Díez Carabantes. The Duchess, who is perhaps the most well known woman in the entire country and indubitably the richest, overcame much controversy and media hype surrounding her big day as she walked down the aisle for the third time in her life.

Sir James Paul McCartney is one of the best musicians that the world encountered. A former member of the music band The Beetles and Wings, McCartney even holds the record of the “Most successful musician and composer in popular music history”.
